It is a 2.86km-long coastal trail that connects Jeongdongjin to Simgok Port. The Marine Terrace in Jeongdongjin, Gangneung, designated as Natural Monument No. 437, is Korea’s only marine terrace. As the trail (gil) resembles the shape of a fan (buchae) opening toward the sea (bada), it was named “Badabuchae—gil”.

Sogeumkangsan Mountain designated as South Korea's first national scenic spot, is located within Odaesan National Park. In 1569, the scholar Yi I (Yulgok) visited Cheonghak Mountain and left a written record called 'Yuchonghak Mountain Record,' referring to it as a 'small Geumgang Mountain.' He renamed the mountain, which was then called Cheonghak Mountain, to So-gum-gang. In 2021, after the Odaesan National Park Office and the Yulgok Research Institute renovated a section of the So-gum-gang Mountain trail, it has gained popularity as the '1569 Yulgok Heritage Trail.'
